The Dirty Soda
Dirty soda is a drink consisting of soda mixed with cream, flavored syrups or fruit juices. Dirty sodas have been described as "alcohol-free mocktails with optional flavor, cream and fruit add-ins"
The concept of mixing sodas with flavorings and cream is not entirely new. Early 20th-century soda jerks at soda fountains would combine carbonated water with flavored syrups to create unique drinks.
The first official dirty soda shop, Swig, was founded in St. George, Utah, in 2010. By the 2020s, dirty soda began reaching a national audience, with food chains and convenience stores offering similar customizable soda options.
Today, we are excited to bring this “drink revolution” to Northeastern North Carolina.

We started Pops Soda Shop with a simple goal in mind: to bring the magic of the dirty soda to Northeast North Carolina. What began as a weekend indulgence and experimentation has grown into a full-on obsession.
